Football goal posts – A football pitch to die for
One of the most idyllic football pitches you could wish for…. on the beach in your shorts… nothing could be better. What happens if the rope eventually rots in the sand or someone removes the single rope that currently secures the goals from toppling over. If checked on a regular basis and before use they may be safe in the short run but why not have goal posts on the beach that if they topple on to children they are not made to a mass that can kill ?
I have been designing and producing goalposts for over fifty years and these are some of the heaviest and most dangerous free standing goalposts I have looked at. If they are ever used UN-anchored they will be lethal and may be be witness to a death in paradise.
The current safety standard being proposed by some UK and European manufacturers may allow such goalposts to be made in Europe in the future…Madness!!!
Such goalposts in our opinion need banning and replacing with lighter freestanding goalposts. “click on pictures”
Football goal posts on an idyllic football pitch in Spain. Moveable, very heavy and only secured by a rope in the sand to stop them from toppling over.
